In 196, Doval Sir joined Indian Police Services (IPS)in Kerala cadre, as the ASP . Later, he was post in north-east India. He was a spy of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and lived for seven years in Pakistan. Doval was actively involve in the anti-insurgency operation in Punjab. He has experience of being involve in the termination of all 15 hijackings of Indian Airways from 1971 to 1999. During the operation in 1988, he was infiltrate into the golden temple acting as an ISI agent. In which Doval helps to gather information about the weapons and prepares the map of their position. It helps the National Security Guards (NSG) to win the golden temple. Surgical strike on Pakistan in 2016 was part of Doval’s ‘offensive defense strategy’. In 2005, Doval retired as a director of the Intelligence Bureau. He became the founding director of Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) in December 2009. He has also delivered lectures on foreign policy and Indian security challenges in various renowned government and non government institutions. Doval wrote two reports in 2009 and 2011 on “Indian Black Money Abroad in Secret Banks and Tax Havens”.
